Completed over a period of a four year, “The Pencil of Weightlessness” photography project came as an extension of my studies on the construction of picture plane through abstract painting, breaking from the constraints of figurative form into finding dynamics that would create tension, beauty, uniqueness and relevance. Trees became my subject as I looked up to the sky for my new canvas taking the art from a studio practice to a ‘street practice’ in urban environments.
Influenced by serialist art and the systematic documentation of urban landscape photography found in the works of Hilda and Bernd Becher, “The Pencil of Weightlessness” is a series representing singular urban and secluded trees found on the streets of New York City, in various public parks and on the roads of my personal travels from Paris the MidWest America.
Each photograph has its moment, its story, its place.
The series features 99 photographs.

JESSEA: A tale of Sacred Fantasy.
Solo Performance Art
Jessea is a mythical spirit, a metaphorical figure of the ethereal feminine, between life and death, motion and stillness, drawing back the veils that we might see. This title is derived from the biblical 'Tree of Jesse', the original use of family tree and the schematic representation of genealogy.
Performed at various private and public events including at The Hole Gallery, BOFFO and Performa 13 (Guest of Pawel Althamer).
